YAY i'm back!!
it was such a fun experience going to four countries. Egypt, Israel, Turkey & Greece. i think my favorite was Israel. it was cleaner and the food better than all the others. i did like Turkish baklava and their apple tea. so good. Greek baklava was too sweet and hard. eeek. speaking of Greece. goodness gracious everyone smokes there wherever you go. taxi drivers don't even care about their passengers. i guess that's just part of their lifestyle there. Athens was alright. too crowded for me. you definitely need to hold on to your purses. one of our group got his wallet taken in the metro. sucks. anyways, Egypt i thought was the worst of all the four we visited. i would think with all the tourist they get, at least their city would be nicer. nope. the hotel we stayed at was the worst i've ever been to even compared to the cheapest hotel from the Philippines. yes it was that bad. i did enjoy the pyramids in Giza and seeing all the mummies especially Ramses II, Moses step-brother. oh while walking to the pharmacy an Arabic woman thought i was korean. lol and then we went to a souvenir & jewelry store and one worker said "konichiwa" to me when i went in. it was so funny. he took me off guard and then i replied "konichiwa" back. hahaa. might as well return the greeting. ;) even one of our group coudn't tell what i was and he was Filipino too. so weird. he had to ask. anyways, all in all regardless of how the cities we visited were, i had a fabulous time.

ohhh except for ALL the plane rides. i'm not flying again for a very long time. we encountered so many turbulence i was praying almost the entire time unless i dozed off to sleep. it was terrible. i think the worst i can remember was when we were proceeding to land in JFK airport and the plane was dropping, going up, & wobbling side to side like crazy. i could see the wings flapping around. i've never experienced that before. it was scary but big props to the delta pilot. he had good control of that 747. & a big Thank you to God. He made sure we would be okay otherwise i wouldn't be here. believe me, i was praying so hard while holding on to my fiance'. good thing we were sitting together or goodness know if i would passed-out. lol. watching all those national geographic documentaries about ariplanes encountering problems didn't help me either. i was so happy to touch ground after that. one text really stood out to me and i kept singing it over and over especially when i'd get really scared was Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest". thank God for comforting text because a lot of the times we hit turbulence, my fiance' was sleeping. idk how he can sleep. the slightest jolt wakes me up. lol well, that's it for now. adios.
